Mercy Aigbe Blamed For Being Responsible For Ambode’s Downfall

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has been blamed as the reason why Akinwunmi Ambode failed to secured a second term in office as governor of Lagos State.

This was after she was seen on social media hailing the newly sworn-in governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu was on social media promising Lagosians that he will make the state enjoyable for them when Mercy Aigbe chipped.

Sanwo-Olu wrote:

“We owe it to you all to be accountable for our every action. We are aware of the realities on ground, hence our push from day one. Good roads, housing, security, good education, clean environment, effective transportation channels, affordable and qualitative healthcare, etc are our rights and not privileges. Therefore, we will continue to strategize, work and collaborate with relevant agencies and authorities of different sectors to ensure we’re not deprived of our rights. To kickstart our day today, I signed the 2019 appropriation bill into law. This will enable us complete projects and kickstart new developments #foragreaterlagos @drobafemihamzat”

Mercy Aigbe reacted to the comment by the new governor with just two words: “My Governor”.

The two words dropped by the actress in the comment section of the governor’s page were enough for trolls to deduct tonnes of meaning from.

According to some of them, she’s making advances at Sanwo-Olu and would possibly ruin him from securing a second term in office like she allegedly did to former governor Akinwunmi Ambode whom she reportedly dated.
